Description

At the borders of Champagne and Burgundy, Ervy le Châtel offers the detour of its medieval streets, discovering the treasures of its built heritage. The most original, its circular hall made of wood, dating from 1836-1837 and its magnificent chestnut ceiling, very beautiful work of a companion of duty. Its church Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens (XVth century) currently closed for restoration is a real museum of the Troyes School of the sixteenth century, remarkable for its statuary. The city also preserves the only medieval door still remaining in the Aube, Porte Saint Nicolas (13th century). The House of Stained Glass Armance, new in this city, welcomes the public to discover the history of stained glass windows Ervy-le-Châtel and the Pays d'Armance and children for edutainment workshops. The stained glass house of Armance offers to discover the emblematic places of Ervy-le-Châtel thanks to a visit on digital tablet. 3 existing versions: adults, children and English. Tablets can be rented during the opening hours of the Armance Stained Glass House. Rental price of the tablet: 1 €
